0：00を迎える30分ほど前から、空間のボルテージが徐々に高まっていく。残り15分、MCの煽りにひと際熱がこもり、興奮は一気に加速する。残り5 分、満員のフロアはもうその時を待ちきれない。そして残り1分、悲鳴にも似た歓声。ついに始まるカウントダウン–「・・・5・4・3・2・1・ HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR！」–それは間違いなく、1年を通じてパーティピープルのエネルギーが最も激しく爆発する瞬間だ。いうまでもなくここAIRにも、オー プン以来8回の素晴らしい瞬間が訪れてきた。しかし9回目となるこの夜は、過去を凌駕するほどの凄まじい熱狂を期待せざるを得ない。SATOSHI TOMIIE、実に20年ぶりの国内カウントダウンへの登場。それは一つの「事件」として、シーンへ絶大なインパクトを与えることだろう。単身NYへ渡 り、FRANKIE KNUCKLES、DAVID MORALES等とともに名門DEF MIXの繁栄を支えた後、自らのレーベルSAW.RECORDINGSを設立。世界の第一線に立ち続ける彼の祝祭への凱旋は、圧倒的な希少価値をもつ ニュースなのである。昨年から幾度もオーディエンスを沸かせてきたパーティ“SAW@AIR”は、この夜への大いなる伏線だったのかもしれない。MCに は、盟友HECTOR ROMEROの声によるゲスト参戦が決定。未知なる伝説がいま、幕を開けようとしている。
